We have been avid NASCAR fans for years. Before we started traveling, we had a season pass at Texas Motor Speedway for years but we’d drive there in the car, rent a hotel room and battle the traffic going to and from the race every day. Hours spent in traffic. We’d see RV’s at the track and say ‘boy wouldn’t it be nice to have and RV and go track to track?’. And so the idea of getting an RV was planted. Our first long trip was to the Las Vegas Speedway. After a week or tailgating there, friends invited us to go to Phoenix for the next race but we quickly realized that back to back races were a bit much for us ‘old folks’. I’ll post that story someday because we met some great friends there, Shawn and Mandi Terry, and have kept in touch with them ever since. We try to go to several races each year. We have some favorite tracks and some bucket list tracks that we are looking forward to visiting. Nothing like tailgating at a Nascar race – for an entire week!!!!
